Motorcycles have always been a passion of mine. I starting trail riding as a teenager and spent countless hours in my garage turning nuts and bolts and rebuilding engines without any real guide for what I was doing. I just loved it. This fascination with motorcycles and mechanics in general permeated my soul. Ultimately it led me to pursue my degree in mechanical engineering.Fast forward almost two decades and this same tinkering spirit led me (and my lovely wife) to found BOTE. I just wanted to make cool shit, my way, and do it with my bare hands.Along the way, I stayed in tune with the moto culture   vibe, still trail riding, and still breaking shit.Luckily, I wasn’t the only one at BOTE who had the bug. Rob McAbee, our Creative Director, and Pete Buzzelli, Director of the DarkRoom, are both enthusiasts for different elements of the motorcycle culture. Over the years we’ve traded countless hours talking about dream bikes or dream rides.Close to a year ago it all took shape when we had the idea to build a motorcycle to carry a board. Coupled with its badass looks and one of a kind sidecar, The URAL Tourist would be the perfect platform.I could go on and on about it, but let’s face it, the pictures say 1000 words. It’s simply badass. Someone’s gonna be really lucky.
